"unget" podcasts?
Authored by: sjk on Oct 25, '05 06:27:48PM

The point of preserving Podcast playlist entries after deleting the content is to keep a history of what I've listened to (or watched). And maybe I delete the content before listening/watching, then decide to download it again later. So, I was wondering if anyone knew a way to do that without creating dead links (orphaned entries, in my original post), which apparently there isn't.

A kludgy workaround is to remove an entire podcast feed after content has been deleted, then resubscribe so that all entries (with and without content) are recreated. But there's no guarantee all the entries will still exist on the server. So, when I want podcast history for deleted content I'd rather just live with the dead links, even if it's messy.

Does that make more sense now?
