Make iTunes treat an MP3 podcast as a regular MP3
What would be really handy for me is to be able to actually tag files with Apple's "Podcast" and TV show tags (season, episode etc.) That way I could import shows I captured myself and use them in the same way as purchased files. Is there any app that can write these tags?

I'd love to do the same - I sometimes catch onto a podcast 100 or so episodes in, and i'd love to go to the web site, download the first 10 or so episodes and put them in iTunes. Well, I can do all that, but then they don't show up in the 'podcast' section of itunes, only if I manually search for them in my library.
