Confirm 'Change Extension' dialog via the keyboard
A lot of well-coded apps have dialog boxes where you can use Cmd + the first letter of the button name. Eg: if you have a dialog box with buttons Yes, No and Cancel then Cmd-Y will do Yes and Cmd-N No. The exception to the rule is Cancel which is traditionally Cmd-. (period).

..or, if you'reon a fullsize keyboard (not an iBook, for example), you can hit control+eject keys (bottom left most and top right mostkeysof the keyboard) to bring up the shutdown/sleep/cancel/restart dialog. My mac is under the desk and hard to reach so this is much easier for me :D
