One possible fix for admin password corruption
Authored by: barrysharp on Oct 11, '05 12:02:03PM

This happened to me some time ago. Ever since I've ensured that I have a secondary Admin account defined from the get-go so that it can be used to rescue me and fix things. I've never had to rely on this secondary Admin account since my last mishap but I'm sure it will hit me at some time as it did you.

One possible fix for admin password corruption

This just happened to me yesterday. I'm glad I found this, because I can use the tips.

I also created a secondary Admin account from the get go. However, although I've never used that account, it too has "lost" its admin privileges. I'm guessing it would've affected any Admin account. Netinfo says we're in the admin group, but running "id" says we're not.
