Rate unrated iTunes songs via a simple sort
Authored by: lunarthar on Sep 23, '05 01:10:17PM

I do the following whenever I am in the mood to rate songs:

I have a smart playlist called "unrated" with all my unrated songs. Now I go to party shuffle and choose "unrated" as the source playlist and rate songs at my leisure. When I want to listen to rated songs, I just choose another playlist as the source.

The advantage of using party shuffle is that the song will continue to play even after you rate it. If you just play the song from "unrated", the song will disappear as soon as you rate it. Of course, this behaviour can be disabled by unchecking the "dynamically update" checkbox when forming the smart playlist, but I like my smart playlists up to date. So, party shuffle + unrated smart playlist works the best for me.
