Why stop using the eject key?
Authored by: vgz on Apr 01, '01 12:27:01PM

Yes apps are distributed in disk images now. I like that the eject key ejects mounted images. Think about it, you mount the image try out the app and then copy it to your hard drive if you want to keep it. Its nice to be able to eject the image without having to go to the computer level and select eject disk. I find this feature to be more logical. Personally I don't want 3-7 images piling up because I closed the window and forgot about them.

Just my $0.02,

Install in batches...

I've gotten in the habit of installing apps in bunches. Donwload a slew of them, mount the images all at once, and then start installing, app by app. So if I hit EJECT during this time, then I have to re-mount the images.

What would be REALLY usefule to me (I tried, it doesn't work this way!) is if the EJECT key ejected only selected items (unless there was only a CD inserted, in which case it would eject). Then I could select a few images and hit eject ... of course, at that point, ctrl-click and eject is almost as easy ;-).
