Remove the Music Store from iTunes 5's Sources list
Authored by: meatmcguffin on Sep 12, '05 09:34:20PM

doesn't work for me at all - i get a weird behaviour where if i select coldplay (for example), it will select the first coldplay song but all the other songs from the library will be in there as well, and not just the coldplay ones. its as if ive scrolled down the library to coldplay and thats it!

but if it's just me, ill try fiddling and see if i can get it to work.

I'm with you meat, the old behavior just isn't there anymore. If I option-click on the ITMS Link, I get nothing; no action whatsoever.

WTF? Why does Apple keep releasing updates with broken or missing features?? This kind of thing is driving me crazy!!

Can anyone who's found a fix for this please post back?

Many thanks,
John-o

The option-click trick only works as expected if you *don't* have the new Search bar visible...

Whew, this was really driving me crazy!!

The Option-modifed behavior works if you revert defaults write com.apple.iTunes invertStoreLinks to the normal setting, then switch it back.

I could not figure out why it worked for me and not others, but then realized that mine is a new os install and I had not yet inverted the settings like others had. Give it a try.
