What About Many Users View, But One User Edit?

This is a nice hint to have multiple users be able to add to or edit an iPhoto album, but what if you want to have other users be able to view the album, but only have one user be able to add/edit/delete?

This works, but requires that iPhoto be continuously running for others to access the photos. The other hints here do not require iPhoto to be running for others to see the pictures.

If you put the iPhoto library in /Library/Shared, as the example in step 2, and then you skip step 3 for these read-only users, then they'll have viewing capabilities already.

I do not think iPhoto will let you open read-only Libraries (besides CD and DVDs). I did not try that, though.
