10.4: Share an iPhoto library among multiple users
Authored by: lewsmind on Sep 09, '05 10:13:03AM
This is definitely easier than the previous workaround in 10.3. Although the previous workaround still works in 10.4 I will have to give this a try.

How is it that I hadn't heard of ACL yet? It seems like a Godsend.

Anyone know if this will work with Address book?

Just put your iphoto library on a shared space, either a drive or partition which is ignoring permissions. Launch iphoto under each user with the option key held, and select the library....

And if that works you should also be able to store iPhoto libraries on disk images that ignore permissions instead of separate drives/volumes.

Lots of useful tips here are begging for simplification. :-)
