10.4: Run a quick search by email address in Mail
If i am reading this hint correctly, then there is an even easier way (at least in Panther) select the message as told to in the original hint, then just select "From" in the search pop-up. Mail will automatically populate the search with the full name of the sender. Then type return.
10.4: Run a quick search by email address in Mail
It appears that this search pop-up has vanished in Tiger. This means that if I want to find all mails with "@" in their subject or a word which occurs in most mails, I'm simply scr**ed. It seems like the only way to do this, is by making a smart mailbox, but then I can't see in which mailboxes the found messages are. And I really don't want to make a smart mailbox everytime I want to do a quick search. Does anyone have a solution for this?

OK, never mind, I finally discovered the extra bar of buttons after performing a search, which allow to limit the search to only a specific mailbox or header field... 8-)
