How to completely uninstall Symantec products

I tried Virex as an alternative, but it too has system extensions, automated schedulers, and tons of other CPU hogging components that are part of the required install, like NAV 10. I'm back to NAV 10 for now, but will watch this thread closely. How excited was I to find that NAV 10, like NAV 9, forces it's menu item on every new user created?!?! I love apps that hog the CPU and force their presence on your desktop/menu bar/system preference pane!

Sadly, this is a required install in my office because we send and receive tons of scripts. Many mail agents won't accept attachments with viruses, and lots of scripts are sent to us with macro viruses on them that HAVE TO be removed in order to forward them on. We have to fix problems we never created or were affected by.
