10.4: Add Nokia 9300 iSync support
Authored by: lthuring on Aug 19, '05 04:35:31AM

Finally having upgraded to Tiger on my G4 laptop I wanted to make it work with 9300 as described in the first email. All was looking fine, with a warning that more > 5% of the contacts on the mac would be changed.
Then I discovered that iSync had overwritten the calendar and contacts with its own (less important) ones. Argggh! I tried to restore these from a 9300 backup, but this fails with the info that it cannot be done since the contacts and calendar files are "coprighted". Turning the 9300 off and on to delete them locally does not help either. Then these files are constantly in use even if the corresponding apps have not been started... How do I get rid of them in the 9300 so I can restore again? Thanks!

BTW, why on earth are entries marked as "copyrighted" from the mac? Also I had assumed that running iSync the first time would merge the calendars. My bad perhaps.

Update: the only way to remove the "copyrighted" calendar and contacts was to hard reste (format) the whole device.
