10.4: Sync Motorola C975 with iSync via USB
Authored by: ephramz on Jul 28, '05 01:27:14PM

Hmm, well I have a Motorola C650, not a C975, and I got the product ID (0x4902) from System Profiler and made the appropriate modifications to MetaClasses.plist, and iSync still doesn't recognize the phone when it's plugged in. Maybe this phone just doesn't work cause it doesn't have the right interface, but shouldn't iSync still recognize it when I do "Add Device" from the product ID?

Maybe the change to the MotorolaBundle.plist is necessary.

10.4: Sync Motorola C975 with iSync via USB

I found that on my system the change to MotorolaBundle.plist was necessary to get the phone recognized. But, I upgraded to 10.4 from 10.3 and it seems the the MotorolaBundle.plist isn't there on 10.4

When I get my fresh new iBook I'll be able to see how things work a-proper on 'normal' 10.4

What also needs to be changed is any reference to the phone name. I don't really understand how the line with the "Copyright 2004" bit works so I don't know how important it is.
I got the C975 to sync pretty much through trial and error, but one phone isn't really a good sample size so I don't know which parts are the important ones in the plist.
