10.4: Fix an iSync/Palm Conduit install issue
Authored by: mistert2 on Jul 28, '05 11:04:16AM

I have had a similiar problem, but a more complicated solution. I have a treo 600 (Sprint), 15" aluminum Powerbook, and a lot of patience.

First I tried terminal: sudo drag icon to terminal. enter, and error out of installation. There are people with success at this on the web. Not me.

Then abled root like this http://www.macosxhints.com/article.php?story=20010324095804436
I went the net info, enable root route.

I logged in as root, installed the software, hot synced, enabled the palm device with isynch, logged out, disabled root, hot synced, set up the palm device in isync, and disabled the root account.

Just three steps....

This was a booger to figure out. That is why I by the books from this site because I use the web site sooo much. Thanks team.

Does it count if I sell the books on e-bay? Just Kidding.

Hope this helps, I will respond to questions.
