10.4: Enable fax send/receive via Bluetooth
Authored by: cudaboy_71 on Jul 25, '05 01:49:51PM

no dice with a nokia 6600. on a 12"pb w/ built-in bluetooth and 10.4.1 the fax printer installed per the instructions just fine. made a simple textedit document and tried fax to pdf to a real fax machine sitting right beside me.

the job spooled fine to the que but errored out.

with 10.4 the 6600 now requires a special app called 'isync manager' to be installed on the phone to make the sync connection. in 10.3 it did not require this. i even tried to 'prime the pump' by performing an iSync connection just prior to sending the fax. the sync worked fine. so, my initial theory is that this on-phone application is not aware of a modem connection??? *shrug*

if anyone gets a 6600 to fax via 10.4 please post back.

tonight i guess i'll attempt a fax connection with my 10.3 machine and the d-link dongle and the 6600.

if it aint broke, break it!
