10.4: Enable fax send/receive via Bluetooth

Does anyone know if this hint works with a SonyEricsson T637 and Cingular service. I heard that the fax send and receive functionality could be controled by your carrier and turned off on your phone's sim chip. Does anyone have any insight on this? Thanks in advance.

10.4: Enable fax send/receive via Bluetooth

I can't get this to work on Cingular on Moto V551
I can create the BT Modem on my IBook
Dials and then puts the job on hold - no send
I tried this
1. Turn on BT on v551
2. I go the "talk then fax menu in the "settings--- incall setup" menu
and turn this on for next calll only-- then try and fax
3. From the PDF Menu instead of the print menu
- Fax PDF - you have to do this because a fax machine receives/sends images - not text files
4. Up Comes a dialog box with the printer as the BT modem
I can add phone # cover sheet etc
5. Then I fax the PDF
6. the phone screen says Dialing the person--- and then
the messaage "not subscribed"

I seem to remeber trying to do this thru a cable and the serial port utility
I may be wrong --- but if I remember correctly - from my research -- cingular does not support fax---
Thus the message "not subscribed"
I wonder what carrier the orignal poster is using

Mark
