Create aliases
Authored by: donvy on Mar 08, '02 10:04:49PM

If you mount an afp share point often enough, you can just create an alias for it on your desktop (or anywhere by command+option+drag) once it's mounted, and just double-click on the alias, just like in OS 9. This has the added advantage of working over a dial-up connection to your network.

I love having afp mounts it on the Finder toolbar. One click and your volume mounts.

Sharepoint in the dock

What's also cool is this:
mount a sharepoint you use regularly and then drag it to your dock (then it's the same like a hard drive)!
if you disconnect from the server it will show up as a question mark, but you can reconnect directly to the sharepoint by clicking on the symbol in the dock, and then it will immediately change into the right icon! ;-D
