FYI, installing iSync 2.1 removes this patch (as might be expected), but re-applying the patch kept BT sync working.

Yes it does still work, but what I did was remove the device and then go in and replace ALL the text, all the way from <key>com.motorola.V710</key> to </dict>. I am not sure why this would make a difference, since the changes didn't change the "USB-BT" information, but it did. It's working like a gem for me again.

10.4: 10.4.2 and iSync 2.1 busted?
Authored by: robMaurizi on Jul 12, '05 06:34:53PM

Has anyone else tried it with 10.4.2 and iSync 2.1?

I can't get the BT Setup Assistant to see the phone anymore!

And as a side note, does enabling BT via this method kill the ability to use a data cable to pull pictures off using BitPim? Since the InheritsFrom key is calling an array, can we have multiple interfaces (BT and USB)?

This was the best hack I've seen until 10 minutes ago when everything broke. :-(

Thanks!

I saw that you got it to work now, but just wanted to let everyone know mine is working fine under 10.4.2 and iSync 2.1. Woot!
