Download iFilms

I've been a fan of iFilm for some time, and managed to "crack" all the redirection they use before displaying your actual iFilm. If you go to the multimedia page on my website, there's a form for entering an iFilm ID. Enter an ID in that field (like 2673907, for the Brothers Grimm trailer) and you'll see the movie and only that movie (no ads). You can then save it, too, if you want.

The iFilm ID is the 6-7 digit number displayed in most browser's status bar when you place your cursor over the link to play the movie at iFilm.com. It's part of a javascript link that looks like

javascript:launchPlayer('2673907', 'default','default','', 'product', 'null');
Note that this is NOT always the same ID in the URL for the page that contains the info about the iFilm (http://www.ifilm.com/ifilmdetail/2539385 for the Brothers Grimm).

If you've followed this hint or this forum thread, you can see I'm a big fan of downloading videos. :-)

I actually wrote a Perl script that run in Mac OS, Windows, and UNIX to batch download iFilms by ID. Someday I'll get around to posting it on my software page...
