Just look for it on the installation CDs. There are, hidden somewhere, all the installers .pkg files for the whole system. Once you locate them, guess what the master installer package is (I seem to recall that in Panther it was OSInstall.pkg, from which the rest of the installers where called, you can try Pacifist (look in versiontracker) to look inside the pkg, do a search, and install just the missing file.

BTW, if you updated QuickTime since you first installed Tiger, it might be wise, just after scavenging the deleted file from Tiger's installation CDs, to redownload all QuickTime updaters and reapply them.

I deleted it as well. On a hunch I just download the latest QT 7.0.1 installer and re-installed it. The file was restored. |
