10.4: Sync PalmOne LifeDrive via Bluetooth
If you have already synced a Palm via Bluetooth, you may not have any problems. When I got my LifeDrive, I just paired it up and was able to sync via Bluetooth with any problems under 10.4. I had upgraded from a Zire 72.
10.4: Sync PalmOne LifeDrive via Bluetooth
This is weird. I just set up a lifedrive w/ bluetooth on a machine that had never had a palm installed, tiger, or bluetooth for that fact. I don't think there's a bug in hotsync manager. I always see the second item on the hotsync manager connection list as the bluetooth sync and just check it. I also always sync a new palm by usb first (required isn't it). The only reason I can think that this might have been different is that I downloaded the new 'rev b' or 'beta' palm desktop (noticed you have to run desktop once before you can get isync going). I then dropped the old (save conduits when you update) lifedrive conduit back in. No problems. I read the setup guide about creating a bt port, but it seems to be there w/ a correct install of palm desktop. Granted permissions in the Library folder are something you want to check when you install PD. Is it just me, or do people really have to use this hint to get bt sync working w/ a lifedrive?? |
