Authored by: bauknecht074 on Jun 20, '05 04:07:47PM

just something by an obviously slightly debile user: how do i drag and drop text in mac os x at all? seems, if i mark it with the mouse and try draggin it, i always mark a new portion.

sounds totally stupid, but it´s like that.

thanks already.

To drag selected text, instead of clicking and then dragging immediately, you have to click, and then hold still for half a second before moving your mouse.

After the click, you'll (in some situations) see the cursor change from the insertion caret to the arrow pointer when it is safe to start dragging.
