10.4: Organize Address Book entries via Smart Groups
Authored by: raider on Jun 17, '05 01:46:07PM

I submitted this as a hint Yesterday or the day before, so it will probably be showing up soon - but the info is applicable here as well.

Only "regular" groups will autocomplete. If you make a smart group the way you want - make a regular group with the only member of the regular group being the smart group... (nested groups).

Then the reular group will autocomplete, and contain all of the members of the smart group nested within...

Example:

Smart group contains all apple.com entries. Named the smart group "apple.com".

Regular group named "Apple" contains smaty group "apple.com".

Typing "Apple" in the To: field in Mail.app will insert all members of the "apple.com" smart group.

:)

have you sent that to apple?

It makes it kind of obvious that there's no reason why smart-group completion or synchronisation should not work :-)

Thanks for the tip btw!
