Install Tiger from an iPod- start from OS X version
Authored by: rloney on Jun 15, '05 01:19:11PM

I did this and it works, but I made the mistake of getting rid of all my OS X versions before trying to start the Tiger installation process.
When I tried to start installing Tiger from OS 9, the installer could not select the iPod as a startup disk. I tried this from two different OS 9 installations.
After I installed OS 10.1 on a partition and started up from that OS, I was then able to successfully startup the tiger install process from the iPod.
So... I gather that to do this one needs to be booting from a version of OS X. The Tiger installer will not be able to select the iPod as a startup disk if starting in OS 9.
