Apparently, all of the files and folders normally hidden in the Finder will show up in this web browser trick, regardless of what 'AppleShowAllFiles' key is set to... Don't know if this means anything, just an observation...

Hmmm. Typing /Volumes/ into the location in OmniWeb shows nothing but a header with column names of "Name, Size, ...." Doing the same in MSIE results in a error dialog box which states: "No such device or address."

So, what might you have done to set up your system to enable such navigation of the file system? Just an out-of-the-box set up doesn't offer this functionality, at least not in my case.

I tried this in IE 5.1PR and was taken to a particularly annoying web site (especials) that opens window after window of advertising
