Different behavior
Authored by: nvdingo on Jun 09, '05 02:03:56PM

Oddly, using a Logitech Cordless Keyboard (the black and silver multimedia one) with the most recent Logitech Control Center installed, holding F12 ejects my dvd tray.

i have never fiddled with any of the default settings.
tapping F12 still brings up the dashboard, but holding it ejects or closes the DVD.

ahh well.

This is a different 'feature' of Dashboard.

Since the default key is F12, and since that's the same key used to eject media on a non-apple keyboard, holding down F12 ejects media instead of the feature described here.

You'll have to remap Dashboard to another key to get this feature.

I have the same problem. But I should not. I do not have an apple branded keyboard. Instead a Macally branded, built for the Mac. It does have its own eject key, still holding F12 will eject media. Does anybody know a work around?
