10.4: Use Dashboard in 'at a glance' mode

Howdy,

On a laptop you can use 10.4.1's Keyboard&Mouse Preferences to ``reverse'' the meaning of the fn key so the function keys act like function keys should and the special meaning (e.g., change screen brightness, eject) need the fn key. One of the nice additions to Tiger.

I've got F12, Cmd-F12 and Opt-Cmd-F12 assigned to Spotlight, Spotlight Window and Dashboard repectively (in the order of importance to me). I also have the various versions of Exposé assigned to F11, Cmd-F11 and Opt-Cmd-F11. This frees up things like Cmd-Space for software I use a lot.

Good Luck,
Herb Schulz

herbs, the fn key option was introduced in 10.3.3, not in Tiger.

This hint also works with mouse buttons.
