10.4: Install Tiger from an iPod
Authored by: convi on Jun 09, '05 12:02:09AM

I have a Lacie Posket drive formatted HFS+ and restored the Tiger DVD via Disk Utility to it. It's seen as a start up volume but the Installer won't run and It dosn't want to boot off it. I'm trying to Install it on a iBook SE 466mhz 192M RAM. Everthing looks right.

Help?

look at your configuration and then look at the System requirements for Tiger, I believe it calls for 256 MB of RAM

10.4: Install Tiger from an iPod

I just tried this hint to install Tiger on a 400 MHz G4 Power Mac with PCI graphics. The G4 wouldn't boot from my external drive (a DViCO 3.5" enclosure) so I had to plug the disk in the tower as slave to install. It worked just fine.
