Kudos Rob.

This is a winner:

  • for you obviously, a well deserved change in your day to day.

  • for us, we will get even more of your attention and care.

  • for MacWorld - a great mag that I've stopped reading 4 or 5 years ago as it became a bit too mainstream and always 'late' on the news (not their fault, inherent constraints of monthly publishing), on top their website has always been boring - they have secured a definitive access to the hottest mac website on the 'net. I agree with you on the culture, from a reader point of view, it seems a perfect match perfectly between your editorial line and theirs.

For an example of what could have gone wrong as the pressure kept mounting on you, look at what happened to MacFixIt (restricted views, too many ads, big downgrade in editorial quality, they've lost it altogether after their 'transition').

So please, please, keep this site what it is and nothing else: nothing fancy, a reasonable place with a vibrant community sharing the same hobby (passion?), full point.

    Cheers,
