This also works the other way around

I am having some difficulties with an installation on an older eMac that only has a CD writer drive. I do have two newer model iMacs (15 & 17 inch LCD models), each with a super drive, and i have purchased the Tiger family pack.

When I boot the emac, attach the iMac with a firewire cable and reboot, the DVD drive and its contents do not appear on the eMac!

If I boot the iMac normally and then boot the eMac in target mode (using the firewire cable), then the eMax hard drive shows up, but the installer still wants to reboot my iMac! Odd.

Should not the DVD drive be present on the running system when an iMac is booted in target mode?
