Interesting, I'll have to try that. Conventional wisdom from other sites (including Codetek) has been to disable automatic startup on login and remove the preferences file before starting.

Of course, Codetek is promising a compatible version in a few days...

I wrote an automator object to launch CTVD which copied over a valid file into preferences before launch, as the preferences file doesnt seem to quit correctly when the machine shuts down and got corrupted.

I will try this tip though to see if it will work without the need for the prefs to be coped every time.
