Use Enter to edit iTunes song names
Authored by: xavierbdm on May 23, '05 02:48:29AM

This is an old thing, and some people cherish it, others don't get it:
Return key is supposedly the "new line" key, whereas "Enter" is the "validate/submit entry".
In situation where there is no new line to be added, Return and Enter plays same role. But where the distinction can be, then it usually exists.
There are many applications which do make use of it.
Photoshop is a big example: try seeing how Return indeed adds new line when writing text, while Enter validates and exit the edit mode. The distinction works for many other contexts in Photoshop. Same in Comic Life (the fun photo in comic application, check it www.plasq.com): Return adds new lines, Enter exit bubble edit mode....

Interesting; I can see how that'd be useful in certain circumstances. Thanks.
