10.4: A fix to force Spotlight to index iPhoto images

I'm not so sure about this.

For instance, I don't think the photo importer knows anything about the AlbumData.xml file. Or does it.

What is it that actually updates the metadata of the images then? I was under the impression that any images prior to upgrading iphoto did not have the correct metadata. So in order for me to find my photos by keyword I had to make sure iphoto resaved it's keywords for all images in my library. For me that meant adding a dummy keyword to all images and then removing it. Then lsmd shows me that the metadata has been updated for each image.

I had to do the same thing as you, vary annoying, in fact I am only about a tenth of the way there, I had all 10000 photos tagged, or keyworded as apple wants us to say, and now I have to add a dummy keyword, then delete the old one, then add it again, then delete the dummy keyword, luckily I can just do that for each keyword, because of the quick search inside iphoto, wish there was an easier way.

this hint DOES NOT help this problem.
