10.4: Use Advanced print protocol options

Just to clarify: The original hint is correct.

If you want advanced options for configuration, you need to option-click the "More Printers..." button. This will allow you to choose from all possible options by selecting the "Advanced" entry at the bottom of the drop down menu.

I was thinking of using this to set up an USB printer that was not connected to my Mac and was thus not discovered automatically, but as there was one parameter I did not know, I decided against it and to wait until the printer would actually be connected.

Basically, the standard print dialog allows to easily set-up all printers that are discovered automatically (USB, Bonjour/Rendezvous, ...) and some more. The additional button for IP printing covers pretty much all other cases where the printer cannot be discovered automatically. But still, it's always nice to be able to do some advanced settings, and sometimes it's necessary.
