Actually, with all due respect, I need to correct you. Or at least set the record straight. :) On a powerbook, for example, the DEDICATED 'enter' key does not work as described, but the 'return/enter' key does - and very handily, too.

So, to summarize everyone thus far, to find anything on your computer (by default, only visible files) and opening a finder window to dilsplay: 1) command-space to open spotlight's menu, 2) type what you are looking for, 3) use the up and/down arrows to hi-light what you want (optionally using the command-up/down to jump from section to section), 4) command-return to view it in the finder! I only wish shift-command-return would bring it up in slow motion!

Done and done (whatever that means!)
