i had a small problem updating Office v.X on an off-world partition, but after tooling around in shell, killing processes i suspected it was hanging on, it took off and completed it's chore on the intended apps off of root.

i don't think it's the off-world installation as much as it's bone-headedness about wanting certain app-like processes to stop. i believe the profile of these apps were one's regestered with a -psn number.
