You can also use a browser like Omniweb, which lets you save any of the media files embedded in the page.

And, both Mozilla and Firefox have the "Page Info" dialog which allows you to see the Media objects ... there's a "Save" button there too; I usually try to get the URL and "curl -O" it, if possible.

After downloading some metafiles, there's an "rtsp://" or some such URL, for which you can try using "-dumpfile" of mplayer, to save the file (it usually works). I think I've also captured Windows Media streaming ("mms://") content that same way (-dumpstream ... -dumpfile) Larry.
