9500 syncsw perfectly!
Authored by: ae on May 05, '05 07:50:44AM

I had the same mistake (Kernec, reason 3, no sync, etc...). What I did that it worked:
1. delete all contacts in 9500
2. delete sync agent from 9500
3. delete 9500 from isync
4. turn out bluetooth on mac and 9500
5. close isync on mac
THEN I DID:
1. Connect mac and 9500 per bluetooth
2. put and doubleklick 9500 to isync
3. try isync (it will not function but writing the message to install isync agent on phone)
4. Install sync agent on 9500 (never mind bad messsages)
5. write 1 Contact into 9500 (Name, Phone, adress, etc...)
6. start sync (NOT the Option to "delete" data on 9500, but the Option to put data together!!!!!!!!!)
7. mark contacts, calender and sync. Voila.

That was the way I sync and it works perfectly on Nokia 9500. Hope I could help someone with the same problems I had.

I also noticed that I have to reinstall the *.sis file every time I reboot the communicator. Does anyone else noticed this?

Fortunally, I don't need to reboot my commie very often :-)

Regards,
Kenny

This appears to work for me as well on my 9500, but I'm hesitant to run this as "production" because of the inability to drive the "iSync Config" tool. Can anyone say what the config tool does? I'm guessing a few settings here and there, but are they important?

Anyone know where the tool came from and any chance of getting it to work on a Series 80?

jms
