10.4: Get Info / Inspector usage on multiple files
I HATED that 'feature' about 10.1 (I guess it was). I was so happy to have it gone. Now, if I understand you correctly, I'd better have all my folders ready to go to get info on them, otherwise navigating to one could throw off an already opened Get Info box.
10.4: Get Info / Inspector usage on multiple files
It's just the Inspector (Command-Option-I) palette that dynamically updates. The Get Info (Command-I) window still behaves as it does in Panther as far as I can tell.
10.4: Get Info / Inspector usage on multiple files
We essentially have 3 methods now. The Inspector, brought over from 10.0 that displays whatever the current context is, the get info, taken from Classic Mac, that lets you select multiple and get an info window for each, and the Panther/Tiger behavior, that lets you select multiple and bring it up in a non-contextual get info window (so as you can compare two groups of files to each other). All in all, a nice improvement. |
