10.1.3 update ok on my ibook
Authored by: russ_jacobson on Feb 20, '02 08:53:08AM

From looking at lots of comments most seem to have no trouble with this update so I downloaded and it works fine for me as well. Using a dual USB ibook (500 Mhz, CD only) 320 Megs ram. Tested a bunch of software to see if any problems but all work fine. While I do not have any stats to prove this I agree with comments I have seen on web by some that it seems to speed up things a bit. Windows (for me) open much faster, as do most apps when not loading some monster file.

Looks like this should be a winner for most, but obviously some are not finding that so. Just wanted to add my comments as one who had no problems after installing and testing.

10.1.3 update ok on my Ti
Authored by: outofcontrol on Feb 20, '02 10:07:16AM

Just to add that all went well on my Ti 400. Downloaded upgraded and got up and running very quickly with no problems.

I do notice a great improvement in launching OS X during the service startups. I have a fair number of services and it used to be quite slow getting over sendmail. It simply flies over all the services now.

I also noticed an improved awake from sleep. It would sometimes take up to a minute to awake from a deep sleep. It is almost instant now. This is with password protected sleep.

It also left alone all my customization on my laptop which is quite nice.

So we are happy over here.

10.1.3 update ok on my ibook

10.1.3 also installed fine on my iMac 500/L2 256K @ 500Mhz/256MB RAM in just under an hour via 56K modem from Software Update. Mine also seems faster (when I upgraded from 10.1.1 -> 10.1.2, it seemed to lose some speed but now that seems to have come back). All systems are good (Classic fine; am still running 9.2.1) and still do not find I need to upgrade Applescript from 1.8.1 to 1.8.2b.
Am quite pleased. Not major or minor SNAFU's and roll on 10.2.
Also December Developer Tools still work perfectly (PB, IB and ASS).
Nice one, Apple.
