Am I stupid, the behavior of Safari has not changed for me and I do not see any option in the preferences to set this behavior ?

Simon

Try command-clicking (or right-clicking) on an image in a webpage. Now with the context menu visible, press the Option key. The Download and Save menu items should toggle.
