DOES NOT WORK WITH REV: A1 OR A2
Authored by: jhesse on Apr 04, '05 05:10:37PM

The D-Link DWL-G122 A1 or A2 use the Intersil Prism chipset, which is not currently supported. The Ralinktech drivers are for the B version.

ps. MacMall sucks. They list USB wireless dongles as being mac compatable, when they are not.

The kernel dependancies can be fixed by editing:

/System/Library/Extensions/RT2500USBWirelessDriver.kext/Contents/Info.plist

And replacing the strings
<string>1.0.7.0</string>
with
<string>1.0.0d1</string>

This will allow the driver to load.

My G122 h/w ver. is B1, f/w ver. is 1.00.
Hardware detail in system profile are:

802.11g W:
Version: 0.01
Bus Power (mA): 500
Speed: Up to 480 Mb/sec
Manufacturer: ANI
Product ID: 0x3c00
Vendor ID: 0x2001

It neither work with driver ver. 1.0.7 nor 1.0.6.
After modified the info.plist of them, still didn't work either.

Brand new Mac mini 1.25G with pure Tiger.
I don't know what wrong is with the G122.
Please kinkdly help me if you guys know what's wrong with it.
Or sent me the driver which dose work in your case.
I'll appreciate.

I experience the same problem. I also noted that the profiler can see the dongle without any driver installed. If the Ralink driver is installed the profiler fails to pick the dongle up.

DOES NOT WORK WITH REV: A1 OR A2
Authored by: jordan314 on Feb 27, '06 06:41:34AM

nooooooooooooooooooooooooooo

I bought a DWL-G122/RE specifically because of this thread.
I should have read all the comments! The hardware is A2 and neither the Ralink drivers nor the singapore Dlink drivers work.
Has anyone had any luck making the A1 or A2 work on a mac?
