Prevent junk mail in Mail from counting as new
Authored by: chidimaar on Mar 28, '05 07:14:04PM

This is the default behavior in Mail at least in my experience! Anytime I want to designate an email as junk, all I do is click on the little "nuclear waste bag" icon in the toolbar and the message is appropriately labeled and sent off to the Junk folder.

My junk mail filter is set to Automatic, so maybe that's part of it.

Also, does the junk mail filter actually stop learning about new spam once you switch it to automatic? My impression is that the learning never stops as you continue to mark new / missed spam messages as junk. Is that not the case?
