Use Mac OS X Setup Assistant with cloned drives
Authored by: hamarkus on Mar 23, '05 06:16:48PM

This hint only says that you can use the Setup Assistant to transfer personal settings also with a cloned system on an external drive as the source (and not only the built-in boot drive of a Mac).

If you know what the Setup Assistant is and does (and what a cloned system is), you do not need any further information.
For a piece of software as known as the Setup Assistant, a hint does not have to describe what the software does nor how to use it.

(just being a little bit harsh myself)

If you know what the Setup Assistant is and does (and what a cloned system is), you do not need any further information. Here's a hint with comparable instructions: "Many people don't realize you can set Macbugs to step through a trap in a finished application. Try it." All the information you need is right there if you have Macbugs and know what it is used for.
