A fix for AppleTalk network connection problems
Authored by: atall on Mar 18, '05 03:27:27AM

That´s what I thought too because it usually fixes the problem. I can´t explain why but there is a difference. It has happened on several occasions here and our helpdesk tried everything they found in the Network System Preferences. When they failed they asked for help and I tried to find a solution to the problem. After trying checking and unchecking "Make AppleTalk Active" and some other tricks I gave up and tried to find another solution.

The appletalk command is the only solution I found so far.

I actually have a problem with a program thinking that Appletalk is turned off even though in the System Preferences it is turned on. However, the terminal commands failed to change the program's behavior.
