Send iCal alarms to other people's email addresses
However, this seems to go against all ways of keeping you data. Ie.. I have bluetooth and sync my phone's callendar, adressbook, etc. This would give me alot of extra data.

applescript seems like overkill (to me). Just put the alarm in with your own email address, quit iCal, then edit the .ics file in ~/Library/Calendars/, changing the email address in the event's ATTENDEE line to the right one. No tainting your own record with someone else's data that way ...

Ah, but then you're doing the work of finding and editing that .ics file, instead of just using iCal and the GUI, which is the point of having iCal, seems to me. If I'm gonna open the .ics file, I might as well just send a darn email instead. |
