Use Exposé to work with fullscreen remote desktops

You can also use Cmd-Tab to switch to any of your OSX apps which will then run over the top of the RDC full screen window. It's handy as you can still see whats going on in the RDC window.

Cmd-Tab on my system actually scrolls through the Windows side of the remote connection. I stumbled across the F9 solution using Exposé and prefer that much better.

I use RDC extensively with my Mac. The slow Shift-F9 is the best Expose dissolve yet. The RDC screen fades into nothingness while the Mac apps fade into existence.

Try and you will be surprised at how good this looks. (Shift-F11 is nice too as the RDC screen rises to the top.)

or use "Cmd+SHIFT+Tab" to switch back if you miss the app you wanted instead of having to make a complete round...
