A workaround for no sound in non-Apple applications

I think the problem is that after the update the default sampling rate is changed to 96k in Audio/Midi Setup. Switching that back to 44.1k fixed the problem for me.

A workaround for no sound in non-Apple applications
Authored by: Dirk! on Feb 20, '05 09:10:08AM

Hello,

yes that seems to be the reason for my father's problem too. After booting the system the setting always gets back to 96kHz.
Above mentioned programs run only when 44kHz is selected.

Any ideas how to have the setting stick between system restarts?

Thanks,

Dirk
