Not to rain on your "hint," but...

Hasn't this been a documented feature of Quicktime since version 2.0 or earlier?

i totally agree...
i also found out that pushing the powerbutton will start you mac, presuming that it's been shut down before;-)

There are tons of great keyboardshortcuts in QuickTime. I think I read about most of them in Judy an ???'s little QT guide.

Try holding down the ALT key and observe what the different menuitems change to - a LOT of them change to something else (and usefull).

Also try hitting CMD-RightArrow, CMD-LeftArrow, ALT-RightArrow and ALT-LeftArrow in the middle of a movie...
