A fix for a changed password wireless connection error

Does anyone know where the "trusted network" and "autmoatically connect" settings get stored?

There's an open network at work that, from my office, has very low signal. However, in the food court, it is the only network available, and I sometimes use it.

Once I accidentally checked the "aumotatically connect" option in the box that popped up. Now, sometimes when I'm in my office, it connects first to that open network, and then the signal drops off... you get the picture.

I've looked for a GUI to edit those settings, but haven't found it. Anyone know a file where those are stored?

Well, to answer my own question seems to be:

~/Library/Preferences/com.apple.airport.plist

However, after editing this file, selecting new networks doesn't seem to update it... hope I didn't break anything. ;-)

Funny, there is no such file as:

~/Library/Preferences/com.apple.airport.plist

There are a bunch of airport plists, but not one by that name.

I'm running 10.3.7, fully patched.

It's actually in the root library's preferences folder:

/Library/Preferences/SystemConfiguration/com.apple.airport.preferences.plist
